Your Kauai kayak tour begins with an inspiring 2-mile paddle along the tropical waterways of the Wailua River with the safety and expertise of your guide. Paddle past Kamokila Hawaiian Village where the movie Outbreak was filmed. From here we will bank our kayaks and begin our 1 mile journey through the tropical rainforest which was once reserved for Hawaiian royalty. The tropical rain-forest is a very sacred and special place to the Hawaiian people -- and we would like to share it with you!

Along the hike, your friendly and knowledgeable guide will show you ancient Hawaiian sites and will point out the various flora and fauna along the way. In addition to the vast history of the Wailua Valley, your guide will show you remains where the first Hawaiians lived in the area 1,500 years ago.

The grand finale is a short hike to the beautiful 125ft. Uluwehi Falls (Secret Falls) where you can take pictures, swim, play under the waterfall and enjoy a deli lunch. Perfect for Family Fun!

  • If you are looking to paddle the Wailua River and take an amazing hike to the “Not-So-Secret-Falls” this is your place!!! Outstanding from start to finish, easy to book, accommodating, knowledgeable, and a walking stick. The walking stick is key - it made this hike so much better. Our guide (I wish I could remember his name - he was LOVELY) was outstanding, patient, kind, and knowledgeable about Kauai, Hawaii, island life, local activities, and had was a kind spirit. Know that the paddle and hike are moderately difficult with some slippery/muddy parts but well maintained. We are an active family and there were several parts that were quite challenging - but we loved every second of it! We took the 1:30p tour and it was well worth it. We had the entire falls, trail, and river to ourselves after the last group left! Phenomenal. Can’t wait to come back and paddle, hike, swim, smile, laugh, and make memories.
  • We rented a kayak from them to go to the secret falls hike. The kayak was in great shape and they provided all the necessary equipment to safely load the kayak on top of the car. It's about a 10 min drive from the shop to the boat launch. We started at 9am and the parking at the boat launch was easily available, however when we got back it was pretty full so I'd recommend to start early. The kayak itself was very heavy and if you have a SUV then it'd be quite difficult to put it on top of the car. The store folks did help us get it on while going but on our way back my wife wasn't able to lift and we had to ask help from fellow kayakers. The return was straight forward, we dropped the kayak and all the equipment in their own bins. I wished there was someone there to help us get the kayak down from the car as well. We did the trail on a sunny day and the river was extremely calm except for the occasional motor boats which sent some waves down our way. Once you park your kayak, the hike is very scenic and has one big river crossing with knee deep water. I'd highly recommend wearing sandals or water shoes. There are tons on people on this hike so finding the trail is not a problem. Have fun!
