Founded by the Spanish in 1521, San Juan is the oldest city under U.S. jurisdiction and one of the oldest in the Americas.
Make the 29th (Thu) a memorable day with a climbing tour. There's much more to do: appreciate the extensive heritage of Old San Juan, brush up on your knowledge of spirits at Ron del Barrilito Visitor Center, contemplate the long history of Sitio Histórico de San Juan, and indulge in some culinary diversions at a local gastronomic tour.

With much of Culebra a nature refuge, the tropical island has been protected from overdevelopment, chain hotels, and the cruise set.
On the 2nd (Sun), take a tour by water with Boat Tours & Water Sports, then step off the mainland to explore Culebrita, and then enjoy the sea views from Culebrita Lighthouse. On the 3rd (Mon), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: enjoy the sand and surf at Flamenco Beach.

You can fly from San Juan to Culebra in 2 hours. Other options are to do a combination of car and ferry; or do a combination of shuttle, taxi, and ferry.
