Little Island

With much of Culebra a nature refuge, the tropical island has been protected from overdevelopment, chain hotels, and the cruise set.
Get outdoors at Flamenco Beach and Melones Beach. Visit Playa Zoni and Playa Tamarindo for some beach relaxation. There's still lots to do: step off the mainland to explore Culebrita, stroll through Culebra National Wildlife Refuge, enjoy the sea views from Culebrita Lighthouse, and soothe aching muscles at Culebra Yoga.

Ponce is both a city and a municipality in the southern part of Puerto Rico. Museum-lovers will appreciate Museo de Arte de Ponce and Museo Castillo Serralles. You'll get in some beach time at Cana Gorda Beach and La Guancha de Ponce. Explore Ponce's surroundings by going to Guanica (Bosque Estatal de Guanica & Island Scuba), La Escalinata (in Yauco) and Casa Pueblo (in Adjuntas). Founded by the Spanish in 1521, San Juan is the oldest city under U.S. jurisdiction and one of the oldest in the Americas.
For shopping fun, head to Estudio de Arte Samuel Lind or Depigment Art. You'll explore and learn at Museo de Arte de Puerto Rico and Museo De Arte De Bayamon.
