Famous for being the birthplace of the Beatles, Liverpool is a vibrant city with an outstanding cultural heritage.
Get some historical perspective at Powis Castle and Garden and Penrhyn Castle (National Trust). Appreciate the collections at Royal Air Force Museum Midlands and The British Ironwork Centre. Change things up with these side-trips from Liverpool: Pontcysyllte Aqueduct (in Wrexham), National Trust - Chirk Castle (in Chirk) and Plas Mawr (in Conwy).
