Pay a visit to one of the oldest churches in the Americas, Catedral Basilica Menor de San Juan Bautista. Constructed in the early 16th century, the building was restored numerous times over the centuries. The small but charming building features a 19th-century Neoclassical facade, but its main claim to fame is the tomb of Juan Ponce de Leon, Spanish explorer, conquistador, and the first governor of Puerto Rico. • Absolutely beautiful. Mass was reverant, choir was amazing. Reconnect with God here. Went for Palm Sunday. No entrance fee, all are welcome.

  • This church is a thing of beauty! I loved everything about it. Was lucky enough to be there the day before Easter when they had a mass. It was moving. The architectural style of this church tells you a story just by walking around it. Like going back in time.... to an era when constructing a building was an artform and where beauty and attention to detail trumped mass production and deadlines. This will always be a fond memory of mine and I highly recommend this cathedral.
  • This is a nice church. It was pleasant and quite inside. It is right by the road and easy to get to. Parking is difficult to find as it is mostly street parking and finding a spot is not always easy. Apart from that, we enjoyed visiting the church with our toddler. The architecture inside is praise worthy.
