Take the little ones to Playa Media Luna to enjoy a secluded tropical paradise. Dense plant life lines the beachfront and white soft sand gently dips into the clear blue water. The beach offers ideal swimming conditions for young kids as the water is calm and you can walk out 15 m (50 ft) in shallow waters. Take snorkels as many tropical fish swim around the shallow waters. Bring some food for a picnic followed up with a nap in the shade under a palm tree. To access the beach expect to drive along bumpy and curvy roads. With our world travel planner, Isla de Vieques attractions like Playa Media Luna can be center stage of your vacation plans, and you can find out about other attractions like it, unlike it, near it, and miles away.

  • This beach was tough to get to a month after a hurricane. No one was there though. Still a lot of detritus from the storms on the shore at the time though. Beautiful and warm.

  • This was a nice hotel. The few staff were pleasant and it was clean. It is in a nice private area away from the crowds. Not to handicap friendly. There were alot of steps in odd places and safety...

  • Stunningly beautiful beach!! Super quiet with warm and calm waters perfect for swimming... It's something out of a postcard. Getting there is TRICKY!! We had a golf cart. It worked... but it's not for the weak at heart. You spend a good 4km on a narrow dirt road with tons of potholes, mud, hanging tree branches, etc. If you're adventurous and good on this type of terrain... It's SO worth the trip!!
  • Smelly and full of algae. Not good place to swim and to hang around.
