Coast over a reef and undersea cliffs when you snorkel in the calm waters along Green Beach. This small beach has a short sandy stretch with palm trees lining the back of it. Right off the beach you'll find a reef, some short cliffs, and some man-made items that the marine life has adapted to, each of these makes for good snorkeling sites. Be careful entering the water, as small red urchins sit on the rocks and can pierce flippers. Also be sure to apply sunscreen and bug spray before going to the beach--many travelers complain of sand fleas.     This beach is wonderful for sunsets! I recommend veering to the right at the “Welcome to Punta Arenas” sign since the beach to the left side was a lot rockier.

    I loved this beach. So many beautiful beaches on this island but this was my favorite. Tough road in but this adds to the seclusion. We were here twice. 1st time very quiet....2nd time lots of boats.....  more
