Survey a vast collection of pre-Columbian ceramics dating back thousands of years at Mi Museo. The museum's collection includes around 15,000 pieces of artisanal handicrafts--some from as far back as 2000 BCE; displays feature historical or biographical information in both English and Spanish. The restored colonial building housing the museum dates back to 1868. Take an English-speaking guide to illuminate your visit and put the ceramics in context. PutMi Museo into our Granada driving holiday planning site and find out what's close by, where to stay, and where to head next.

  • Not the kind of place you might want to take a family to learn about history or culture. We went when it was free and I could barely keep interest as a fan of history. Now it costs $5 and its still....  more

  • This is an impressive little museum well-worth the $5/pp entrance fee. You'll learn all about the indigenous cultures and migrations from Mexico and access innumerable ancient pottery and stone...

  • The museum is unfortunately closed for now because the owner passed away. The San Francisco Convent Museum has a small exhibition of ceramics.
  • The cafe in this museum is very charming and relaxing. The garden is pretty nice too. However they only serve one type of coffee- Cafe Americano. I ordered it. Few minutes later the waiter brought me instant coffee. I told him it's not organic coffee and he insisted it was. Then I asked him to bring me the bag from where this coffee was made. He brought a real coffee. I asked him to smell and see if my coffee seems different from the one he brought. Finally he agreed to make me a new coffee. It was a real deal. Heads up as you may be tricked too.
