Coffee is an integral part of the Brazilian economy beginning from the first Portuguese ship to the contemporary market. The Coffee Museum takes you on this caffeinated journey through Brazilian history, from colonialization to the modern-day coffee export industry. If you're a coffee lover, it is only right to visit this remarkable piece of architecture to pay homage to an export that charges your mornings and Brazil's economy. The building itself is an impressive place that showcases the brilliance of late colonial architecture in Brazil. Be sure to visit the gift shop before you leave; there you’ll find some one-of-a-kind items that celebrate the all-powerful bean. • The coffee museum was interesting and my wife and I were most impressed with the products they had to offer. We came away with with a variety of products.

  • Fabulous building though not much inside other than some old IT equipment and the trading floor. Many boards for you to read but not much in infrastructure. Still worth an hour of your time

  • Great museum to learn about the farming and processing of coffee beans and extensive history related to coffee. The building is beautiful and there’s also information about the architecture and its origins. All of the information on the walls/signs is displayed in Portuguese but there’s large cards with all the same information in Spanish/English available too. Very informative! Entry was 10 reais.
  • Beatiful building and history of developement of the coffe industry. They have a little cafe place but not enough people serving, was not able to taste the coffee or pastries. We were on a tour. The cruise tour bought the tickets. No lines.
