Iglesia Catedral de Córdoba
Right next to the city's main plaza, Iglesia Catedral de Córdoba features a mish-mash of architectural styles owing to its long construction process. Begun in the 16th century, the cathedral did not see completion until nearly two centuries later, and displays Romanesque, Baroque, and Neoclassical features, among others. Visit the iconic building and admire its stately exterior, complete with arched entryways and two squat bell towers. Head inside and you'll find its vaulted interior decorated with large amounts of golden accents and a range of intricate religious artwork, painted by local son Emilio Caraffa. It was nice to have the cathedral by Plaza San Martin, although I thought the other churches in the city have better interiors. And this one is just reconstructed... so it looks a bit new as compared.... more
