Library of Congress Reviews
The building is Beautiful and well managed to separate tourists from library visitors. Worth the effort to visit via the tunnel from the Congress. more »
Very cool to see!! I wish I had of had time to get a library card!! The display of Thomas Jeffersons library is super cool and when I was there in the spring they had a display of baseball throughout ... more »
It is a very interesting place. I would recommend that you arrive at the entrance right as it opens. The lines usually “backs up” about 30 minutes after it opens, so arriving there early may save time. It is right across from the United Sates Capitol, too. Just down the street is the United States Botanical Gardens as well. Overall, a very nice place with very informative exhibits.
This is such a beautiful building! The architecture is very ornate and awe-inspiring. From the fountain out front to the marbling inside, this building is amazing! It's free to visit and the museum is very informative. They have numerous artifacts from our nation's history and beyond. You will not be disappointed when you visit. Unfortunately, in order to enter the actual library you need to make an appointment. I completely understand that as it allows the library to be an actual library and not become a tourist trap. Please visit this beautiful place.
