The National WWII Museum Reviews
Plan to spend more time here than you would expect. We were there almost 6 hours. The American Sector dining room is interesting but pricey. A better option is Jeri Nims Soda Shoo. E xcellent food. more »
We were very disappointed. We expected the place to be jammed with exhibits and were surprised to see a lot of open space in the main building. I have to note that there was lots of stuff jammed into ... more »
Simply put, this museum is amazing. It is expensive to attend all the features (skip the additional submarine experience it is definitely not worth it), but the amount on offer justifies the cost. A lot of sensitive subjects are covered in a tasteful way and the amount of interactive exhibits is great. An absolute must for anyone in the area, whether you are interested in military and war history or not. Brilliant. Recommended.
Educational, sobering, spectacular. One of those places that is difficult to describe it is so unique. The story of WWII in both the European and Pacific theaters told in story, artifacts and video/photographs. Helps Americans understand why The Greatest Generation really is the greatest generation. Very, very, well done. The layout is not straightforward but there are lots of volunteers to help guide. A very nice restaurant on site for lunch as well as an old fashion soda fountain. Plan to spend all day and absolutely see the Tom Hanks documentary movie "Beyond all Boundaries".
