Interact with tropical birds, see a tiger show, or visit the Everglades Habitat to further explore Florida's ecosystems at Jungle Island. Such famous guests as Winston Churchill and President Jimmy Carter have visited this zoo, which originally opened in 1936 as Parrot Jungle. In addition to animal shows and exhibitions, the park also provides visitors with opportunities for live animal encounters at its petting zoo. A few of the zoo's most popular attractions are its Parrot Bowl, which hosts the Winged Wonders bird show, and a 408 kg (400 lb) liger (combination lion and tiger). Jungle Island is just one of the many highlights you can arrange to see using our , online itinerary creator Edition.

Almost each year we visit at least once this jewel of Miami, and it is always a positive, invigorating experience. This year it was one of very few places open right before NYE 2021. We had a family.... more »

I love nature so any attraction that takes me outdoors is usually a win. This destination seems to be a work in progress, some attractions being added, some under construction, some not yet opened... more »

Well worth the price of admission. The experience with the sloths was educational and hands-on meeting with the sloths was unforgettable. The sloths names were Flash and Rico. The trainer was very personal and made the whole experience worth the price. I would easily pay to go back again. The whole zoo was a nice atmosphere, the wild animals are free and majority of the animals weren't caged (which was a nice change than a traditional zoo). The experience with the lemurs looks really fun and would love to experience that too. I would love to go back. Thanks to the whole crew at Jungle Island for a great time!

This place is way way way overpriced, and on top of that you gotta pay parking there’s barely anything to do or see and construction everywhere, it is not well maintained at all Miami Zoo is so much better and cleaner with way more to see and do and even half the price and you can even feed the giraffe for a couple of bucks, and parking is free. Please don’t waste your money on this place. Those writing good reviews probably work there cause trust me all it is, is a few parrots and monkeys for a ridiculous price.
