Gator Park, Miami

3.6
#5 of 34 in Wildlife in Miami
Explore the wetlands of the Everglades and observe wildlife in its natural habitat at Gator Park. The center offers a variety of tours on its fleet of airboats, a well-known symbol of the region. As you speed along through the tall grass, you'll have the chance to spy fish, snakes, birds, and, of course, some of the area's 200,000 resident alligators. Back at the facility, get an even more up-close look at creatures that call the park home, as well as a few exotic animals, such as lemurs. Don't miss the wildlife show, where you can watch alligator wrestling and even hold a baby gator. For group tours, book ahead online as they must be specially arranged and can fill up quickly. A visit to Gator Park represents just the start of the adventure when you use our Miami attractions planner to plot your vacation.

  • Staff were great. You can hold a baby gator for a small donation. Kids loved it. Air boat ride was great. Saw lots of gators on the ride. Would definitely come again.  more »

  • Very difficult to reach a person. The trip was not organized. Pickup was not scheduled properly. Wasted 1.5 hours driving to a hotel to get picked up. Had to wait another 2 hours at that place before getting picked up. The Air Boat ride was the best thing. Did not see any gator when on the boat. The show after the ride was good. Picture with the gator is good.
  • Although during the summer it is hard to spot any alligators (due to higher water, and matting season) we did see two smaller gators in the canal. Our tour guide was excellent and very informative. We stopped and he got in the water to talk to us and teach us about the Everglades. The wildlife show was also interesting and I learned a lot about alligators and crocodiles. I would visit this company again.
