Coconuts Tiki Bar at Newport Beachside Hotel & Resort Reviews
If your in the area or staying at the hotel you must stop here. The drinks are cold and good. The food is also good. I had the fish n chips a couple times and I also tried the coconut shrimp. All good... more »
Great Time at the Bar. It is right off the beach poolside. We came off the beach because it was raining and wndded up at the bar for hours. Enjoying the drinks, music and people from all over the worl... more »
When we entered Newport Beachside, we found dozens of guests in the lobby, it felt like walking into a hotel that belonged more in a city like Orlando. The property has a swimming pool, beach, restaurants and direct access to the Sunny Isles waterfront. You can to rent jet skis, fishing rods or just sit and enjoy the scenery from the pier. Although the rooms have been recently renovated, the hotel still looks a bit old-fashioned and the elevators are usually full. It offers an ideal setting for families as long as they don't mind spending time with many other guests. If you wish to have a delicious fried fish while enjoying the ocean view, we recommend the Beach Bar restaurant which is located right before the pier.
Please just look at all of the other reviews, this place is an absolute nightmare! STAY AWAY! Just like others have mentioned, the rooms look nothing like the photos, are beat up and not maintained. Maria the hotel reservation wannabe specialist was extremely rude and assisting me with my reservation constantly talking over me, even mentioning that an upgrade may not be in my budget. You definitely don't say that to a reserved guest in the hotel industry. I had a leaking AC unit in my room and when I asked the front desk for a water he snarled and said that they have none and I would have to get it from the vending machine... that's on top of the $30 Resort fee and all the other parking fees and 13% tax on top. Again stay away! bottom line This Place does not care about their guests and does not care to stay in business. Will never be back and it will tell everyone about my terrible experience...
