Built around the old LA Farmers' Market, The Grove has become one of Los Angeles' most popular outdoor malls. Built in 2002, the open-space mall carries a wide range of products and eateries popular with locals and tourists alike. Check out the Farmers' Market, which originally opened in 1934 and still contains over 100 eateries and grocery stores. If you're looking for a healthy treat, you will find plenty of organic and gluten-free food. The mall also contains a large multiplex cinema as well as many flagship stores. Make sure to take a ride on the old-fashioned tram that carries passengers between the market and the main mall complex. We had come specifically for this and finally few interesting stores and particularly high prices... The proximity of Farmer Market allows you to eat with a great diversity... but don't look for organic, local, you'll be disappointed too, but you have to recognize a diversity of type of restoration. In short, to do if you have time, because it remains nice but it does not remain THE attraction

I love this outdoor mall. My family and I visited on St Patrick's day. There were various themes and events taking place. It's a great outdoor mall and holds several stores and kiosks. Visit them, I guarantee you'll like it. Just a small note, try to get there early, parking fills up quick.
If you haven't been to The Grove yet I don't know what is stopping you. It's like walking down a cobble stone city street without the cars. Yes, no cars are allowed on the street. Nice for Los Angeles! There are stores galore like Nike, Barnes and Nobel, The Apple Store, J Crew, Nordstrom's the list goes on and on. Plenty of dining options and you can even ride on a trolley from The Original Farmers Market to the end of the street. Summer concerts are free on the Green and they even supply blankets. Bring your pup, it is dog friendly and at Christmas time it is beautifully decorated with a Christmas tree bigger than the one at Rockefeller Center in NY. They have great events year round for adults and children. Perfect for a date night or a day with the family. Pacific Theaters has a fourteen screen movie theater there also. You just can't miss a fun time here. Caruso Properties out did themselves with this gem at 3rd St. & Fairfax.
