  • The observatory, located on the mountain of Akihito, has appeared in a number of films, and is well-known in the world. The main building is not very large, but the display of rich content, explain clearly, just in time for the 11th agency moon 50 years, the basement has a special exhibition. It's just that because there are so many people that they are very busy, and because there are very few parking places and very few places to collect, very sloppy.

  • One of the best spots to see the Hollywood Sign and the LA skyline. Take the chance to go inside the Observatory itself as well.  more »

  • It is a very educating and entertaining place. Pendulum, live Sun view and Tesla Coil are amazing. Views from the balcony and the upper level are beautiful. On the day of our visit there was an event driven by volunteers and amateur astronomers, they brought a variety of telescopes of all kinds and sizes, and everyone had an opportunity to see the Sun and the Moon. Almost $7 for an ice cream that's insane and they don't have price tags on it.
  • Griffith Observatory has the most stunning view of Los Angeles and the great thing is it's all free! There is a transportation system called Dash that's only $0.50 per rider, and it'll take you up the hill if you parked further down. You can also view the Hollywood sign. The museum is cool and also free. This place is great for pictures, and perfect for families.
