Natural History Museum houses one of the world's largest collections of natural history specimens. Here you can see 70 million specimens in the fields of botany, entomology, mineralogy, paleontology, and zoology. The vast collection makes it impossible to view everything on one visit, so consider a few of the highlights. You can choose from dinosaur skeletons, fossils, taxidermied specimens of large mammals, and artwork featuring exotic animals, among many other displays. Whichever exhibits you put on your list, make sure to include Treasures. This exhibit features specimens that the museum selected from its exhaustive collection for their scientific, historical, aesthetic, and cultural importance. You can visit permanent exhibits for free, but temporary exhibits have an associated fee. Quite interesting! I highly recommend visiting. The entrance is for free! Perfect for visitors from every age. I loved the earthquake-table where you could see, where exactly earthquakes are and why. Also I really liked all the things about dinosaurs! And the explanations were great.

Interesting day out for adults and children. Lot to take in; needs a full day there. -- still technically free as well in this day & age! Although they do channel you in via people looking for a donation. Can't really complain at that though, they have to survive. Was exceptionally busy, bit to so for my liking, guessing best to go out of season rather than school summer holidays as we did?!
