  • Very interesting museum all about Liverpool and it's history. Spent a few hours in here. Disabled access is brill with the toilet having the most up to date state of the art equipment. Passed the day as the weather was awful. It's right on the pier head a few nice views to be had too! Learnt so much in here about the nearest city to me. Staff very helpful and friendly. This would be great for school trips and the Good news is it's free to get in! Well worth a visit. Allow at least 3 hours.
  • Went to see the terracotta army here and wow what an incredible place. Beautiful building with so much to explore inside. Perfect for a fun and interesting afternoon out. Lovely little cafe inside too, serving light bites to full meals. Something for everyone 😊
  • Loads to do here, when you walk in your greatest by an open modern white room with a spiral staircase. The bottom floor there's toilets lockers, reception desk, gift shop and a little Liverpool activity room with outfits and toys for kids to play with. There's also a cafe and then as you make your way up the stairs there's a few floors filled with things to learn and do about Liverpool and it's history. There's an old train you can sit in complete with fake people it makes you feel like your on the real thing. There's an example of what Liverpool used to look like from the streets of the olden days in one room. My favourite was the collection of old Barbie dolls in the museum.
  • Enjoyed this very much. Definitely worth a visit. The Beatles section was closed for a refurb, but the rest was interesting. There's plenty of space and the modern building has a huge spiral staircase and loads of light coming in from above. Lots of great info on various aspects of the history of Liverpool, and a souvenir shop of course.
  • Absolutely stunning museum, both externally and internally. It gives a fantastic, well developed and balanced view of the life of the Liverpool people. Despite being from the area, and living here for the majority of my life, I learnt new things. You have to make sure when you arrive in the atrium, you go to the centre and look up as the design is gorgeous. Similarly, make sure you make your way to the vantage point on the third floor to look over the port area and see the Three Graces from higher up.
