Casbah Coffee Club, Liverpool

4.6
At first glance, Casbah Coffee Club appears to be an ordinary English house. It is, however, nothing of the kind. In fact, this heritage-listed building boasts the honor of being the first venue where the Quarrymen--later the Beatles--played. Tours of the club are often given by Roag (pronounced "Rory") Best, brother to Pete Best, the original drummer (before Ringo Starr joined the group). See Lennon, McCartney, and Harrison's original artwork on the walls and hear personal anecdotes relating to the Fab Four. Due to the small size of the venue, reservations are essential. Combine the visit with "The Beatles Fab Four Taxi Tour" for the complete Beatles experience. • It was amazing visiting The Casbah. Our guide, Carmen, explained us every detail of every corner. To be there and imagine The Beatles playing in such small space, can feel a very special emotions. Still can see the signatures that John did in the walls. The place was their real beginning. Later they went to The Cavern. Can't explain my feelings, you have to be there to understand what I mean.
  • Absolutely amazing place. So much information given by Roag about the beginnings of the Casbah. Stories of The Beatles and other bands that played there. It's a must to visit
  • This is mind-blowing for any Beatles fan. I thought I had a good idea of how the Beatles got started but virtually everything I learned here was new. Roag was an amazing guide and really brought the place to life.
  • We did the Beatles Tour included a visit to this club. The Brother of Pete Best was our guide. Great place for who is a fan of the Beatles.
  • Fantastic place, oozing with history & a must visit venue for genuine fans of the fab lads of Liverpool. You can sense the nostalgia as soon as you walk in. Rory & Your team, thank you so much for your tour & wealth of all things Beatles. Ben & Dave (Belfast).
