Located on the River Congo, Brazzaville is a city divided between industrialism--thanks to the river--and cultural attractions, which come to life through multiple festivals, galleries, museums, and art schools, like the Poto-Poto painting school.
Get some cultural insight at Basilique St. Anne and Grand Mosque. Get some historical perspective at Charles de Gaulle House and Cathedrale du Sacre-Ceour de Brazzaville. Go for a jaunt from Brazzaville to Pool Department to see Loufoulakari Falls about 1h 10 min away. There's more to do: explore the galleries of Musee National du Congo (National Museum of Congo) and tour the pleasant surroundings at Reserve Naturelle de Gorilles de Lesio-Louna-Lefini.
