Often referred to as Iceland's second city, Akureyri offers an array of cultural attractions in a scenic setting.
Start off your visit on the 28th (Tue): take in the architecture and atmosphere at Catholic Church (Katholska Kirkjan), then get up close to creatures of the deep with a dolphin and whale watching tour, then take in nature's colorful creations at Arctic Botanical Gardens (Lystigardurinn), and finally pause for some serene contemplation at Akureyrarkirkja.

Bengaluru, India to Akureyri is an approximately 29-hour flight. Due to the time zone difference, you'll gain 5 hours traveling from Bengaluru to Akureyri. In August, Akureyri is much colder than Bengaluru - with highs of 16°C and lows of 8°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 28th (Tue) early enough to go by car to Reykjahlid.

Iceland's southernmost village, Vik, sports some of the country's wildest and most dramatic coastline.
Kick off your visit on the 1st (Sat): admire the sheer force of Gljufrafoss, take in the dramatic natural features at Myrdalsjokull Glacier, then trek along Sólheimajökulll, and finally trek along Laugavegur.
