Geysir tourism revolves around a famed geyser, which goes from very calm to extremely volatile depending on the subterranean seismic activity at the time.
Here are some ideas for day two: take in the dramatic scenery at Bruarfoss Waterfall, admire the sheer force of Faxi (Vatnsleysufoss) Waterfall, then witness a stunning natural landmark at Haukadalur, then take in the natural beauty of Strokkur, and finally admire the sheer force of Gullfoss Falls.

For more things to do, maps, other places to visit, and other tourist information, you can read our Geysir day trip planning tool.

Mexico City, Mexico to Geysir is an approximately 18-hour combination of flight and car. The time zone changes from Central Standard Time to Greenwich Mean Time, which is usually a 6 hour difference. Traveling from Mexico City in September, you will find days in Geysir are much colder (13°C), and nights are a bit cooler (7°C). Finish your sightseeing early on the 25th (Tue) to allow enough time to drive to Vik.
