A city jurisdiction formed after the merger of several towns in 2005, Miyakojima spans six linked-up islands.
Take a break from the city and head to Yonaha Maehama Beach and Hora Gyoko no Hama Beach. We've included these beaches for you: Sunayama Beach and Shigira Beach. Next up on the itinerary: kick back and relax at Aragusuku Beach and stroll through Nagamahama Beach Coast.

Ishigaki, the most populous island in the chain, features the country's southernmost city and acts as a transport hub for exploring the landmasses that surround.
You'll enjoy a bit of beach vacationing at Yonehara Beach and Shiraho Beach. Get in touch with nature at Kondoi Beach and Akashi Beach. Next up on the itinerary: kick back and relax at Fusaki Beach, head outdoors with Cape Hirakubozaki, stop by Pinion Direct Shop, and stroll through Sunset Beach.

Zamami-son

The village of Zamami-son in the western Kerama Islands spans four of the islands in the group, one of which remains uninhabited.
You'll get in some beach time at Gahijima Sand Dune and Aharen Beach. Step out of the city life by going to Hizushi Beach and Nishibama Beach. There's still lots to do: kick back and relax at Furuzamami Beach and get a new perspective on things with Boat Tours & Water Sports.

Kick off your visit on the 11th (Tue): examine the collection at Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum, then get engrossed in the history at Hiroshima National Peace Memorial Hall for the Atomic Bomb Victims, and then don't miss a visit to Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park. On your second day here, kick back and relax at Mikasahama Beach, step off the mainland to explore Miyajima, then contemplate the long history of Itsukushima Shrine Torii, and finally take in the spiritual surroundings of Itsukushima Shrine.

The national capital for over a thousand years, Kyoto retains much of the charm of old Japan, boasting numerous temples and shrines that seem completely untouched by the modern world.
Do some cultural sightseeing at Gion and Nara Park. Head to Dotonbori and Musubi Kyotofor plenty of shopping. Change things up with these side-trips from Kyoto: Osaka Castle (in Osaka) and Nara (Todaiji Temple Cultural Center & Todai-ji Temple). Next up on the itinerary: steep yourself in history at Kiyomizu-dera Temple, take in the spiritual surroundings of Ryoanji Temple, explore the historical opulence of Nijo Castle, and make a trip to Heian Shrine.
