The second largest city of Congo, coastal Pointe-Noire has rapidly grown into a metropolitan area in past decades, rising to become the main commercial center of the country.
Pointe Noire is known for beaches, outdoors, and historic sites. Your plan includes some of its best attractions: kick back and relax at Cote Sauvage, explore the galleries of Ma-Loango Regional Museum, pause for some serene contemplation at Cathedrale Saint-Pierre, and head outdoors with Gorges of Diosso.

For maps, more things to do, ratings, and other tourist information, you can read our Pointe Noire trip itinerary planning app.

Tunis, Tunisia to Pointe Noire is an approximately 14- hour flight. You can also drive. Prepare for slightly colder weather when traveling from Tunis in August: high temperatures in Pointe Noire hover around 30°C and lows are around 23°C. You will leave for Brazzaville on the 9th (Sun).

Brazzaville ©
Located on the River Congo, Brazzaville is a city divided between industrialism--thanks to the river--and cultural attractions, which come to life through multiple festivals, galleries, museums, and art schools, like the Poto-Poto painting school.
Take a break from Brazzaville with a short trip to Loufoulakari Falls in Pool Department, about 1h 10 min away. There's still lots to do: admire the striking features of Basilique St. Anne, stroll through Reserve Naturelle de Gorilles de Lesio-Louna-Lefini, contemplate the long history of Charles de Gaulle House, and browse the exhibits of Musee National du Congo (National Museum of Congo).

You can fly from Pointe Noire to Brazzaville in 1.5 hours. Traveling from Pointe Noire in August, expect nights in Brazzaville to be about the same, around 24°C, while days are somewhat warmer, around 34°C. On the 15th (Sat), you're off to home.
