Built on seven hills, Lisbon has experienced a renaissance in recent years, making it the cultural star of Portugal.
Kick off your visit on the 25th (Sun): admire nature's wide array of creatures at Lisbon Oceanarium and then take a stroll through Belém Tower. On the next day, take in nature's colorful creations at Quinta da Regaleira, don't miss a visit to Praca do Comercio (Terreiro do Paco), then make a trip to Elevador de Santa Justa, and finally step into the grandiose world of Castelo de S. Jorge.

Rio de Janeiro, Brazil to Lisbon is an approximately 13.5-hour flight. You can also do a combination of bus and flight. The time zone changes from Brasilia Time to Western European Time, which is usually a 3 hour difference. Traveling from Rio de Janeiro in August, expect nights in Lisbon to be about the same, around 20°C, while days are somewhat warmer, around 35°C. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 26th (Mon) so you can travel to Paris.
