Old San Juan and Sitio Histórico de San Juan are good opportunities to explore the local culture. You'll enjoy a bit of beach vacationing at Condado Beach and Pine Grove Beach. Get out of town with these interesting San Juan side-trips: Luquillo Beach (in Luquillo) and Caribbean Trading Company Store (in Palmer). There's still lots to do: look for gifts at Puerto Rican Art & Crafts, ponder the world of politics at La Fortaleza - Palacio de Santa Catalina, explore the world behind art at Museo de Arte de Puerto Rico, and take in the architecture and atmosphere at Catedral Metropolitana Basilica de San Juan Bautista.
