Queensland’s biggest town and state capital, Brisbane has an attractive, manicured image based around its riverside aesthetic as well as the contrast between its high-rise center and extensive urban greenery.
Your day-by-day itinerary now includes Mount Coot-tha Lookout, Riverlife Adventure Centre and South Bank Parklands. Kick off your visit on the 6th (Wed): get great views at Mount Coot-tha Lookout, then walk around South Bank Parklands, then explore the activities along The Brisbane River, and finally join in the after-dark buzz at Riverlife Adventure Centre. On your second day here, look for all kinds of wild species at Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary, explore the world behind art at Queensland Art Gallery, and then take in the spiritual surroundings of Old St Stephen's Catholic Church (Pugin Chapel).
