Often referred to as Iceland's second city, Akureyri offers an array of cultural attractions in a scenic setting.
Kick off your visit on the 5th (Fri): look for all kinds of wild species at Wildlife Areas, then get up close to creatures of the deep with a dolphin and whale watching tour, and then take in the architecture and atmosphere at Akureyrarkirkja.
