Pattaya Floating Market, Pattaya

2.6
Immerse yourself in quintessential Thai culture at Pattaya Floating Market, an authentic site displaying the captivating way in which fruit and vegetables have traditionally been bought and sold in the country. On wooden boats that hug the old architecture of the riverside, market vendors haggle and sell their wares before darting down the river to secure another sail. Take a trip out on an authentic rowboat to see the buildings and produce from a different perspective. Make sure to bring your camera to document the famous sight of the colorful fresh food against the murky waters. Pattaya Floating Market is just one of the many highlights you can arrange to see using our , custom trip planner Edition.

  • An very enjoyable outing! While it is not in the same league as the floating market in Bangkok-- its quite colourful as well as enjoyable. Many reviewers have been very critical-- but it is particularly interesting to those travellers who have never been to a floating market. This market not only sells a wide variety of products, but also sells handicrafts and souvenirs--and, there are also food halls. Like markets everywhere, one can- and should bargain- and, if you feel the price is too high-- or the quality is too low one can easily shop or eat elsewhere. Many of the vendors and those selling food also live on the river- in "communities"-- and that adds to the allure/interest. One will definitely remember the floating market- especially if its your first! I hope that this Review has been helpful.
  • Beautiful place, great shops and performances around the market, amazing temples and many things to do with the family. We loved their street food around the market and the short trip to the village was fantastic. Boat was too expensive (800 baht pp), so we chose ride (200 baht pp) and we were happy with what we got. Really nice neck and shoulders massage (we bought some of their equipment but don’t believe we can do the same at home😁) and shops in the massage area was much cheaper than night bazaars around the city. I highly recommend this activity.
