We booked to go to the Thong Lo branch but they booked us accidently into the Siam one which wasn’t a great start, we had to rush to Siam to make sure we got our massage time. Would recommend getting email confirmation a couple of days before to make sure you are getting what you want. The spa itself is nicely decorated and clean. I opted for one hour head massage followed by 2 hour oil massage for body. The head massage was disappointing, more time spent pouring and rubbing oil in my head than massaging it. The massage was also fairly average - rubbing oil into my skin rather than massaging me. I didn’t get asked what oil I wanted, which I would normally get at a spa. They also bothered to make me fill out a form ticking which areas I wanted focus on but didn’t bother to share that with the masseuse so not sure what the point is making me fill out a form. Overall an average spa.
Today I had a chance to try the Hammam service. I arrived to the spa 20 mins before the appointment time. When I got there, the staff just told me to have a seat. I thought someone would come greet me and introduce products/services. But "no one". I was served with the welcome drink. After 5 mins, someone place a selection of oil tray in front of me, without even explain to me anything. After another 5 mins, they handed me a consultation form, again without explaining anything to me. No menu, no confirmation of the treatment, no introduction about their spa or what so ever. It wasnt even a busy day. A quiet rainy weekday. Afterward, a lady came to present the bill, i didnt even receive any information/confirmation about anything yet. What's the rush in charging the customer??!!?? At least, the staff should approach the customer nicely. Not "if you dont mind to settle the bill before" I have been in the service industry for 20 years and have never experienced this rudeness anywhere before The treatment itself was ok. The aunty therapist was kind but she was too chatty. After the treatment, again at the waiting area, no one came to check on me how was the treatment and service. I asked the lady at the front for my receipt, she said she couldnt get it for me because they already settled everything. But how come no one gave it to me when I signed the card before the treatment? She just gave the excuse that her colleague probably forgot. And only manager can access the system. So I decided to ask the lady that usually no one approach the customer before and after the treatment? Or because I am Thai. I wasn't even offered the menu of the spa. She said may be because I already choose the hammam service which assuming I already know about everything. Seriously??!!?? It's a cute place but too bad the customer service was a nightmare. Will never ever go back again and will not dare to recommend to anyone.
