We have had a number of tours both in Chiang Mai and Bangkok. All have been excellent with knowledgeable friendly guides. The only one that could have been better was the Night river cruise where the first guide rushed us but another guide took the time to take care of each member of the tour in the hectic rush of the crowds.
We had the worst tour experience today. We paid 2400 bhat for a tour that didn't even go to the nominated time which was 4 hours. The tour was Thonburi Klongs and Grand Palace. The tour guide was unhelpful and rushed us in getting photos. The tour guide didnt seem to interested in being their which unusual in this country. It was clear the guide wanted to finish early. The tour guide tried to coherse us to go to a gem gallery or have a massage for 800 bhat after the tour. We want to know what we paid the 2400 bhat for? We had a short trip up a river in a long boat which by the way did not have enough life jackets. We went to the temple of dawn where the tour guide pushed us through and insisted we have only 20 minutes for photos and then we went to the Grand palace where we could take photos but we weren't given much information. The tour was over by 10.00 am. The question is what did we pay for? The cost to get in to the temple was 500 bhat. What did pay the 1900 bhat for that was left over? No lunch, no drinks offered, nothing. We recommend that you get a driver from your hotel to take you to the temple and you will save yourself 1500 bhat. We paid way too much for this and we are extremely upset.
