I came today in the morning to extend my visa by 30 days, it took me about two hours. The immigration office is located at the second floor of the building. On the ground floor there’s a mall, where you can get passport copies and photos for about 100bht. Overall it was a good experience, all members of staff were polite and gentle. I’m leaving 4 stars only because it’s quite far from central Bangkok.
It is a bit of an effort getting here if you live in Bangkok area. The easiest and most practical option is to go to the Mo Chit BTS station and head to the area where the vans stop over. There are barkers for the van and you can ask them which one goes to the immigration and they will direct you to the van which costs 25 baht. It takes around 30 minutes to reach the government complex and you will have to go down at the entrance where you can wait for a free bus or take a motorbike for 25 baht. Inside the immigration area is quite vast and it has a lot of establishments like food court, restaurants, small shops, banks, and etc. I came for my 90 day report and I think 4 counters are not enough to cater for the dense number of people coming. The process improved since the last time I came here but they could still improve the speed especially they were only able to attend to 61 people in two hours.
