Nadal, Torrelavit

#4 of 47 in Wineries in Province of Barcelona
Take a guided tour through the stages of cava production at the 16th-century vineyard of Nadal. Cava is a light, sparkling white wine whose grapes thrive in Spain's dry heat. Visit a portion of the vineyard, along with the cellar 20 m (66 ft) below the ground, on any of a number of tours. Round off the visit with a series of tastings, a walk through the grounds, or even an astronomy lesson among the vines. The attraction's website offers an updated event calendar, as well as listings of activities in the region: give it a glance while planning your visit. • Fantastic, fun, and informative trip. Shown around the vineyard and winery, told the history and methods of wine and cava production at the vineyard and in the region. Tatsed 4 wines, so good we bough...  more »
  • I really wanted to visit the tour with a tasting, but the Torres factory seemed too touristy. Accidentally stumbled upon Nadal. This is a tiny factory, you will be gladly carried through the vineyards themselves, and the cellars, and "the workshops," will answer all the questions. The only nuance, as the place is not tourist, the tour is conducted in Spanish or English, but the girls "tour guides" (who are actually employees of this factory) are so friendly and want to answer you all the questions that even modest knowledge is enough to understand them. Nice bonus, it's a 20% discount on the purchase in their brand store (at least we were given it, but maybe it's a one-time promotion ♀️) And yet, the plant is really small, and unlike the same Torres, we never met Nadal's kava on the counter, so if you liked it Take it right away, don't rely on the duty:) Also highly recommend tasting with cheese, cheeses are really delicious

  • WOW...... Visit to Nadal was one of the highlights of our trip to Spain. Thanks a lot Elizabeth. She was fantastic and gave our small group one of the best wine tours we ever had. Cozy, interesting, fun and exiting. We had the chance to walk the vineyards, visited the cedar and learned a lot about Nadal, its history and the process of cava art, finishing with a great tasting and chocolate pairing.....can't wait to get back !!!
  • The best wine tour we have ever experienced! Elizabet was friendly right from the beginning, we arrived early for our tour so she suggested we wander the vineyards. We had a great time wandering and taking pictures before the tour. The tour was just three couples, so felt intimate. We went into the vineyard to learn about the grape vines, American roots with European grape vines grafted on top, rose bushes to act as litmus test to let the growers know if the rose bushes react to something the grape vines will soon react as well...I could go on and on, so informative and enjoyable. Then into the building, we toured the cellar and then the bottling area. To end off with the Cava and Chocolate pairing was just the cherry on top! Lovely Cavas paired with Simón Coll chocolates, wow! We bought a bottle of Salvatage Rosé and a cava bottle stopper, we are saving the rosé as we can’t buy it in Canada but the bottle stopper! Wow! Amazing purchase too, more than a week later and the cava is still fully carbonated!! Wish we could go back.
