Trip Planner: Europe / Spain / Catalonia / Province of Barcelona / Barcelona / Villa del Arte Galleries
Bert van Zetten, Nemo Jantzen, Marcel and Jutta Huisman founded Villa del Arte Galleries in Barcelona in 1996. Their combined commitment, and passion for art, together with a unique approach and willingness to exhibit some lesser-known artists has contributed to an ever-changing contemporary collection of a consistently high standard.Make Villa del Arte Galleries a part of your Barcelona vacation plans using our Barcelona online day trip planner.
Over time Villa del Arte has developed into one of Catalonia’s leading contemporary art galleries. The gallery represents over 30 national and international, established and emerging painters, photographers and sculptors.
Villa del Arte remains dedicated to the further development of the Barcelona exhibition space through homegrown projects. Our solo and collective exhibitions are held in our own gallery space and at times in conjunction with the Museo Diocesa (Barcelona). Simultaneous to this we are currently in the process of opening a new and exciting Amsterdam space which will enable us to hold dual solo exhibitions as well as providing Villa del Arte with greater capabilities to showcase new talent.
In 2006 after concentrating our focus on Spain, we participated in our first international art fair. Following this success we have since continued our international trajectory with numerous exhibitions, boutique fairs and renowned art fairs such as Art Chicago, Art London, AAF Singapore, AAF New York, FADA (Los Angeles), St´Art (France), AAF Brussels, Salzburg World Fine Art Fair, Art Hamptons, AF´SH (Holland), Art Palm Beach and Art Toronto.
This constant travel provides beneficial opportunities by way of bringing exciting fresh international artists into our collection, whilst simultaneously gaining a close up view of new artistic directions that are then often reflected in the permanent central Barcelona exhibition space.

The whole city is a gallery. In Barcelona everything has to do with art, from the pavement tiles to buildings and street art. People here get every chance to make art, even from cans. Visiting this gallery is another way to feel the vibes of this artistic city! Loved it.
The fine little gallery turned out a bit bigger than expected, but it was quite nice and interesting art. Would definitely recommend to stop by.
