Torre Agbar, Barcelona

#134 of 1,833 in Things to do in Barcelona
Torre Agbar is a 38-story skyscraper shaped like a bullet that towers over the city. While residents didn’t initially accept it, the building is now a symbol of architecture and the Catalan capital. Unfortunately, you can enter only the ground floor. Since the building hosts the city’s water company, there are often temporary exhibits with water-related themes. View this attraction by way of bus tours that travel the city, or even from a helicopter tour. • It's impossible to get on, but the show is on the ground. As soon as night falls, the Agbar Tower offers a glittering aesthetic spectacle. From the site, we also have a beautiful view of the site of Tibidabo with its bright Ferris wheel and its Temple of the Sacred Heart bathed in a golden glow.

  • As a lipstick sleeve it sticks up high, namely 144 meters so it is visible. Has now changed its name to Torre glories. The building is most beautiful in the darkness when it is illuminated. To check out this can be recommended.

  • This building is like the Barcelona version of the Gherkin in London. The Torre Agbar is much like the Gherkin in shape, it’s a distinctive piece of contemporary architecture that stands out in a relatively open area. The coloured square panes that cover the exterior is a mixture of red and blue shades that remind me of the sunset or sunrise. The colours of the building are further accentuated by the nocturnal illumination. Definitely worth coming here both night and day to see the contrast.
  • While I am not blessed enough to have entered this icon tower, I can say that this tower is an important part of Barcelona. The city would not be the same without it. The architecture is unique, but still tasteful and not too ostentatious. I hope to one day enter this FINE building and get to enjoy from the inside.
