  • The District of Sant Antoni is characterised by its own structure in geographical and even social nature. The district is geometric created as Eixample. Orthogonal roads which provide a good orientation, is testimony to its planned facility. The houses come from a bourgeois marriage, often with the typical decorations of modernism. Here you find the neighborhoods of Barcelona's residents. But due to the proximity, who lives this quarter to the University, many students can be found in the bars and shops of the area. Also Sant Antoni has developed in the course of the last years to the Centre of the gay and lesbian, that always still very hesitant occur. But the scene is visible to the initiates. This is a very pleasant area for aufgeschlossnen tourists. Open, vivacious, cultivated. Excels in a variety of small, fancy and creative restaurants, traditional bakeries and tapas bars and creative shops, the bike shop or tailoring their own fashion, bags, decoration and much more. In addition to the typical Barcelona of tourists, who searches for the normal residents, should a day here spend, look at the beautiful buildings, bus, get a piece of reading, stop in one of the cosy bars and looking for the traditional bakeries and one Eat the Empanada or Xoko Croissant.
