Rambla del Mar, Barcelona

#97 of 1,793 in Things to do in Barcelona
A tree-lined promenade through the center of the city, Rambla del Mar bumps with the rhythm of pounding feet all day long. The narrow streets of Barri Gòtic spill into the thoroughfare where Antoni Gaudí, famed Spanish architect, built a handful of buildings. The pedestrian walkway begins at Plaça de Catalunya and ends at the Christopher Columbus Monument, running 1.2 kilometers (0.75 mi) along flat terrain. The wide central walkway is filled with booths selling souvenirs, clothes, books, and even live pets. Keep your belongings close, enjoy the street performers, and stroll down one of Barcelona's most dynamic streets. • Nice ride continuation of the rambla after the monument to Colon, small shopping center Maremagnum end, more focused restaurants to the tourism offer, but eye Lords of the city, beware of the street vendors there are moments which makes it difficult to walk by the many that exist.
