Port Vell is the modern heart of the tourists’ Barcelona, even though its name translates to “Old Port.” There are multiple theaters, including an IMAX theater, and numerous shops. It’s also home to Europe’s largest aquarium. Take the time to see the bridge open up for a boat to pass, and look at the water to admire the swimming fish and floating sculptures. Note that this port connects to the pedestrian street Las Ramblas. It separates the Gothic quarter of La Barceloneta. It is a very nice place to walk around and discover beautiful boats along a pretty pedestrian promenade, often crowded with tourists, which is lined with many "tourist" restaurants that serve local cuisine with a pleasant view and a feeling like a vacation. Something that has changed a lot about the port is the permission to see the sellers of counterfeit objects parked on the boardwalk where previously there were bands and where it was good to stroll and/or rest. Now, dozens of stalls on the ground are invading this place and it's a bit sad. At least they stop running at the sight of the police as this place seems to be totally dedicated to them. In short, it has become a kind of tourist attraction where people buy sneakers, bags, sunglasses or other scarves at prices negotiated for "false brands".
Generally overpriced restaurants of average quality alongside with African Street market selling fake goods. I don't feel comfortable walking along the seafront at all. more »
Be prepared to be greeted by extremely rude and untrained staff. Been visiting the marina regularly since 7 months and they treat us, students and coworkers, like lechers.
Perfect thanks for the good time
