#26 of 112 in Museums in Barcelona
Two floors of art await at Museum of Modernism, where you can find items by the likes of Antoni Gaudi, Ramon Casas, Santiago Rusinol, and Eusebi Arnau. The museum building itself remains a major example of Modernist architecture, its ground floor designed a bit like a furniture showroom. There, you'll discover the Gaudi exhibit, with several pieces from building designed by the master himself. Other displays include works by Gaudi's less known but equally talented contemporaries, including a few pieces by Josep Puig i Cadafalch. Don't miss the basement, which features mosaic-covered pillars and columns displaying Modernist paintings and statues. • Small museum dedicated to the furniture, stained glass, paintings, sculptures of the period end 19th early 20th. Of beautiful objects, German french Russian and English explanations, we stay 30 to 45 min but it allows to discover other aspects of this period. I liked a lot! Beware this museum is closed on weekends and open on Monday (contrary to what is said in the Barcelona Pass)

  • A unique Museum! A small Exposition, which will help you to understand what building Barcelona Modernisme created especially for life. The exhibits of this museum-furniture, household items, stained glass Windows, paintings. Beautiful sculptures on closer examination are mirrors and vases, and a graceful wrought-iron decor-door peephole) Architects-modernists themselves created the Interior of houses, who designed these things-the continuation and development of the ideas of the author building. The Museum is located in the Centre, click here be sure-you will not regret the wasted time and money! By the way, the Museum has a lovely little Cafe, and as a souvenir, you can purchase a door handle-a copy of the handle of the Gaudí houses)))
