  • The museum presents the funeral carriages used in the past. There is no visit fee. The museum is located at the entrance to the Montjuic Cemetery.  more »
  • What only museums not found in Barcelona Museum of hearses is next to Montjuïc cemetery under a mountain near the Museum collected the only European funeral collection crews, which were used in the 18th and 19th centuries. These carriages harnessed horses and managed the Coachmen. I liked the rich interiors of hearses, as if they are on the ball, rather than a funeral. from 1970 onwards, the Museum managed to purchase 13 ceremonial funeral coaches and cars serving 9 not for the transport of the coffins, but for living. Europe's largest collection of thematic books on the topic Of interments. machines like the ancient Studebekker people a bit, not everyone wants to spend time on such sights, but I liked the Museum

  • Came to ask for a taxi, stayed for a quick private tour by a charming staff member. Thank you so much. A very interesting place.
  • I highly recommend to visit the museum on Sunday afternoon, just before its closing hour, and then take the last bus 107 which departs at 14:00 from the bus stop just in front of the museum. The bus navigates all the way through the Montjuic (please imagine the second dot there) cemetery uphill. It's a lovely panoramic route and the cemetery itself is very picturesque. Once the bus takes you to the top of the hill, you can exit the cemetery through the upper gate and reach the Montjuic fortress by easy walk in 20 minutes, just before 15:00 which is when they start letting people in for free on Sundays.
