Hay... more »Interesting visit to the houses of Trinitat Vella and Trinitat new water. Sundays free visits and first Sunday of month are made, are guided with guides MUHBA visits. You have to book. You can see the contact on its website. It is free of charge. The best is 76 Bus (direction ciutat Meridiana stop Pare Pérez del Pulgar) that leaves you next to where is the House of the aigua de Trinitat Vella. The entrance and beginning of the guided tours is done from here. After an explanation, you go by the House of Trinitat Vella where were bombs which drove the water to the House from Trinitat Nova. You do all the tunnel through which runs the pipe to exit the House from Trinitat Nova. So you do the return from the line 3 metro or the same 76 in the opposite direction is less than ten minutes walk.
Nos gusto, pero nos mató la verdad. El entorno del lugar está bien y se respira paz. Es mi 10ma vez en bcn y fui recién ahora. more »We liked, but killed us the truth. The environment of the place is good and peaceful. This is my 10th time in Barcelona and I was just now.
I Advise the visit, Q I think the first Sunday of the month is Guided tour, is part of our history
HOUSE OF L ' AIGUA TRINITAT VELLA. The construction project was commissioned to the architect Pere Falqués I Urpí (also designed the lampposts of Paseo de Gracia and the Fountain of Gutters in The Rambla de Barcelona) in 1891, this project was part of a set of modernist buildings, the house itself, the House of the Guard (it was used as warehouse) and the real House of the guard that was a point of vigilance, this one already located in the area of Trinitat Nova. The Commission was due to an epidemic of typhus caused by water pollution and causing mortality. Built in 1915 as a pumping pavilion, it received water from the Montcada mine and propelled it to the deposit/house of the Trinitat Nova, where it was treated, potabilizaba and distributed to much of the city. It Connects through an underground tunnel that crosses the Avenida Meridiana horizontally and leads to the House of L ' Aigua de Trinitat Nova, built in 1917. The visit is very interesting at the didactic level, but the dynamics of the Guide should be more enjoyable. I Recommend your visit, it is only on Sunday and with reservation, but at the level of history is very good.
