  • On the way to the Museum-monastery of Pedralbes, after whom she was named, and the surrounding village, went to look for the second time on the first private order of Antonio Gaudi from textile Tycoon Eusebio Güell, who liked the lights and he invited young genius to expand its country estate and Gaudi tried, he finished the project in the year 1887, having worked on it 3 years; Gaudi then looked like a dandy, wearing expensive suits, his haircut and beard have always been flawless. But here with the girls he had bad luck, the latter refused him in 1884 year and just in time for work on the project, he went into the religion most impress the famous "Dragon Gate". If you look at the Manor House Güell, to the left of the entrance you can see the same gatekeeper's House and the right column with embossed on her orange tree. It is located underneath the iron gates to which chains chained Dragon. orange tree and the Dragon both times are the symbol of a legend which tells of a magical garden of the Hesperides with golden apples as soon as someone tried to open this gate, Dragon immediately came in motion: he rose dramatically and exhibited his claws. Precise engineering calculation of Gaudi, these stories and have become for me a reason to love Barcelona modernism. Main material being built by Gaudi used brick, but in some places when facing used broken pottery. construction of pavilions Guell first used the technique of trenkadis-facing surface pieces of pottery or glass irregular shape. A must in Barcelona and around 4 euros for the admission.

  • The entrance portal, Gaudí's work, is worth a visit! But for the rest, we found door closed for renovation. Therefore, we could not visit the pavilions, which are in renovations since June 2018. The portal is still impressive.
