  • Worth it if only for a photo. Is very nice and very particular. A cat chubby typically Boteriano and photogenic.

  • Beyond its artistic value (although for my already deserves 5 stars for being a work of Botero), the cat has won the hearts of the residents of the neighborhood and therefore appears on banners, flyers, posters and murals of collectives and social organizations that integrate the neighbouring the district s. It is the symbol representing the entire district. For me a visit obliged, comparable to the works of Gaudí, domènech I Muntaner, Picasso and Miró. It would be advisable to first read about the history of anarchism in Barcelona, and the neighborhood that are linked from the hand. To then understand that the great thing of this work of art, it lies not in its beauty or the artist who did it (although with that is already enough to know), but it has been transformed in a short time (34 years old) symbol, the flag, the object that represents the residents of a neighborhood that was the first in Europe is where gesture law of 8 hours for workers. Exploring the history of the neighborhood and streets is as important as visiting the Sagrada Familia.

  • A place where you will find several hotels around. You can enjoy drinks also setting under the open sky. Most of the hotels are for Pakistani, Indian and Morocco food on both side of the Plaça.
  • On the Rambla del Raval, the lovely bronze cat with long whiskers "El gato negro" by Fernando Botero stands imposing and plump. This huge sculpture, about 2 meters high and 5 meters long, I recommend to visit not only to appreciate it beauty but also to perform a small lucky ritual "touch the cat's testicles!" If you are in Barcelona, visit this beautiful cat and don't forget to do the superstitious ritual.
