  • This neo-Gothic House of Joan Rubió built i Bellver in 1901 year on Gran via, reminds me more of the fabulous House of fairy tales of the Brothers Grimm, such it is unusually graceful and toy House, furnished and decorated with stone, brick and pottery, was marked by City Council Prize as the best building of the year. Despite the neogoticheskie features in the form of high narrow Windows, nicknamed El Xalet (meaning "chalet") due to the dark colour of the façade and wooden elements the roof engineer and businessman Macari Golferiks lived here with his family before the civil war in Spain, subsequently this House seized by anarchists with the intention of using it as the people's University. After the war, the House opened a religious school then sold the developer during the boom in the real estate City Hall properly made that gave no rebuild it and bought under a Community Centre in 1989 year. I went inside freely inside, and praised the stunning Interior dark wood. Very nice house with beautiful fireplaces, pottery on the walls inside and unique décor
