Fascinatingly geometric, Casa Amatller represents a prime example of the Modernisme architectural style. Considered one of the three most important buildings in Barcelona, the 20th-century structure features a pyramid-like roof and an interior lined with intricate columns and stained-glass windows. It was originally built for chocolatier Amatller Antoni Costa, and the ground floor of the residence has been restored to preserve the atmosphere of its first owner. Tours of the house are offered at specific times and for small groups; book tickets in advance or in the lobby of the building. カサバリョトの隣にある建物です。近代的な要素を持ちながらも、ファザードは典型的なゴシック様式。曲線が美しいガウディの作品に対して、階段状の直線の組み合わせは良いアクセントになっています。なかなか味があります。 more »This building is located next to Casavalhoto. Despite its modern elements, Fazzard is a typical Gothic. The combination of stepped straight lines has a good accent for Gaudí's beautiful curved work. There is quite a taste.
I loved this tour. The tour guide spoke perfect English, which was wonderful because my Spanish is purely light conversation. The rooms are so elegant and beautiful, and such gorgeous woodwork and detail is to be found everywhere. The tour is thorough, and it finishes in the chocolate shop where you can purchase some delicious souvenirs. A must see!
This is not so noticeble if you aren't looking for it. But location is easily accessible with a metro stop just in front of it. A small area in the ground floor is open for free access. Could get some interior view from there. Inside has some beautiful staircase and lamps with intricate work.
