The largest shopping mall in the Caribbean, Plaza las Americas boasts nearly 300 stores, from the anchor stores of major brands such as Macy's and Sears to specialty stores of local artisans. Decorated with fountains and sculptures, this site becomes the venue of large farmers market and local artisan fair every weekend. Look for homemade treats and handcrafted goods from the island on the third floor. Plaza features more than 40 restaurants and eateries, a video arcade, and a movie theater with the latest releases (most run in English with Spanish subtitles). Plaza las Americas Reviews
Everything is here. This place was huge!! Great selection of stores and eating places. We chose this mall because it had a Macy's. My home city does not have a Macy's and I seek them out when we trave... more »

People write reviews about the MALL when they're actually talking about a specific store or restaurant. Yes, the place is inside the mall, but the mall doesn't control what the store does or the service they provide. Now, I would say this is a very good place to get anything you need. There are a lot of stores and options for everyone. The mall in general is pretty good. Usually clean, good service. People complain that it's too crowded. What do you expect?? It's the most popular mall in Puerto Rico and it's in the Metropolitan area. Of course it will be crowded, especially on weekends. Parking will be difficult to find if you want to be in the front entrance. Security isisn exactly on point, but due to recent events, they're improving. If you can, the best time to come to the mall is on a weekday in the morning.
Yesterday my wife and I decided to stop by the Olive Garden in Plaza Las Americas around 12:30 pm for lunch since it looked EMPTY. We figured service would be swift. We checked in and were informed that we had to way. We waited for over 10 minutes to be seated, even though the place was 95 empty. When the waitress took us to a table, right by the main entrance, and only entrance, I asked to be moved to another more privately table, At this point the waitress, with a very negative and unprofessional attitude, told us that was the ONLY table available for us. Based on her attitude and disbelieve of the situation we decided to walk away and find a better place for lunch. This represent a very poor management skills and a very poor trained staff. We will NEVER stop by this place again!!!!! This represent a very poor management skills and a very poor trained staff. We will NEVER stop by this place again!!!!! Of 5 Stars, we give them 1/4 Star, just because the place looked empty and no other costumers would suffer the embarrassment, time and hunger to use this restaurant Some times the best idea is to walk away and STAY AWAY from this trap.
