  • The castle is cute, not very big. In my opinion, however, it deserves only if you also plan to go to Umm Qais. Otherwise I only recommend Jerash's visit.

  • The initial core of the castle, built by Salan al-Din (Salad for the Westerners) in the 12th century, consisted of four towers with a mighty wall and a moat 16 meters deep between 12 and 15 meters later the castle was gradually expanded. The castle dominated the Jordan Valley and the main entrances to the village. Even in the Ottoman era the castle was home to garrisons of soldiers.

  • Went there 4 times in one year. It's cool, nice, entry fees not so expensive, a bit of a hike, needs a better parking lot. There should be more informative stuff so that people might learn something. A great view ones you reach the top
  • A Roman Castle designed for defence and protection The castle has an ancient church with mosaic that shows Jesus Fish miracle. Excellent architecture and arches. The main towers have been destroyed. There is a water channel around the castle that is dry. You pass over a wooden bridge to get in.
