The first Disney theme park outside of the United States, Tokyo Disneyland opened in 1983 to provide the same magic and fun that makes Disney World famous. The park contains seven sections: a World Bazaar, the four classic Disney worlds (Westernland, Tomorrowland, Fantasyland, and Adventureland), Critter Country, and Mickey’s Toontown. Featuring many of the beloved rides and attractions based on Disney’s classic films, the park draws tremendous crowds. Research tickets in advance and wear comfortable shoes to navigate the park’s vast open spaces. Tokyo Disneyland Reviews
Pretty identical to Disneyland USA except with mostly Japanese people. Same great service, same high prices; worth it if your a Disney fan but not sure if it’s worth it otherwise. Disney Sea was sooo.... more »
See notes on Disney sea...this was great park. Not afraid to put more recent twists on rides including disney movie characters into appropriate areas of small world. Handles crowds well. Surprised.... more »
This review is for the time I visited and you should spend some time to understand what is open when you plan to attend. To sum up why I'm giving three stars in one word... Construction. So much going on. Both castles were effectively not visible sure to scaffolding. Many places behind wire fencing. I'm not sure what stage these construction efforts are at but it did impact the enjoyment factor. We were traveling from overseas so little we could do and no information was available at time of booking. Going Mid week is definitely the way you go if you want to keep waiting in lines to a minimum. We went on a Tuesday. Still long waits but if you get your fast passes in place and go do other things or is manageable. One the construction is done more like 4 start place I think. If you are there only for a short time and you love Disney, you are still going
I prefer to visit Disneyland in L.A as all the staff are nicer (staff in Tokyo they were quite cold and tired) and all the characters are around to take some photos together but in Tokyo it didn't happen at all... So pity... I gave 3 stars because the Xmas parade was amazing and the cleaning standard was really high.
