  • We visited here on a Holiday cruise. Santo Domingo, recognized as the oldest city in the New World, with quaint cobblestone streets and stonework houses, is a collage of cultures and distinct neighbor...  more »
  • It has been a very good experience, since you can visit a place with lots of history, cuisine, handicrafts for one or to return home. The prices are a bit higher than other areas, it is an area very controlled by the tourist police, which provides great peace of mind at the time of taking photographs.

  • Very nice walking down the streets of the old town of Santo Domingo where there are still preserved houses and squares

  • A beautiful area filled with vendors, restaurants, museums, and more! Highly recommend anybody visiting Santo Domingo to make a stop here. Highly recommend checking out the restaurants too - a bit pricey, but worth the experience. Make sure to check out the historical sites in the area as well.
  • DR's "Old Town," go during the day, there are tour guides who you can haggle with and they will show you around the various tourist spots.

  • One of the best places to go in Santo Domingo, and by obligation, if you go to the capital of the Republic should not pass. Parks, museums, bars, restaurants, shops of all kinds, hardware store, super market etc. The area has everything you need. A good place for walking, with the family, couple or single. What is missing is a better lighting, remove the wiring in some streets and a most efficient way in the management of waste and destitute.
